On April 3, 2025, Mercedes-Benz Bangladesh unveiled the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV at their flagship showroom in Dhaka, marking a significant milestone in the country’s automotive landscape. This launch introduced the pinnacle of electric luxury to Bangladesh, blending Maybach’s heritage with cutting-edge electric mobility.

The event at the Mercedes-Benz showroom in Dhaka was a spectacle of luxury and innovation. Attendees, including automotive enthusiasts, industry leaders, and media personnel, witnessed the debut of the all-electric Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV. The launch underscored Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to bringing state-of-the-art electric vehicles to the Bangladeshi market. The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV is powered by dual permanently synchronous electric motors, delivering a combined output of 484 kW (approximately 649 bhp) and 950 Nm of torque. This setup enables the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds!

Stepping inside the EQS 680 SUV reveals an opulent interior that seamlessly blends traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. The cabin features the expansive MBUX Hyperscreen, comprising three displays: a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 17.7-inch central OLED touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch passenger display. These screens are unified under a single glass panel, offering a “zero-layer” interface with Maybach-specific animations and themes. Rear passengers are treated to executive-class comfort with individual lounge seats that offer ventilation, massage functions, and neck and shoulder heating. Dual 11.6-inch displays mounted on the backrests of the front seats, along with an MBUX rear tablet, provide entertainment and control over various vehicle functions

One of the standout features of the EQS 680 SUV is its automatic comfort doors. As the driver approaches the vehicle from approximately 6 meters away, the recessed door handles extend. When within 1.5 meters, the driver’s door opens automatically, offering a welcoming gesture. All doors can also be operated remotely via the MBUX system, vehicle key, or rear seat entertainment controls. The driver’s door closes automatically upon pressing the brake pedal.
