Since its inception, the Mustang has captivated the American car market for generations. The first generation of Ford Mustang started its journey in 1965. With the launch of the Mustang, a new class of cars- the pony cars was created. These were basically coupe cars available at an affordable price. It was made in the era of American muscle cars. Many car makers followed the trend started by Ford and released their own variations. AG Automobiles Limited, the official dealer of Ford in Bangladesh unveiled the 2.3L EcoBoost four cylinder variant of the new sixth generation Ford Mustang. These variants are boasted with the Performance package.
The unveiling event took place on Thursday, 27th April 2017 at AG Automobiles Limited’s premises, Uttara Dhaka. The iconic American Muscle was introduced to Bangladesh by the Honorable Managing Director of AG Automobiles Limited, Mr. Hossain Khaled; and Yousuf Aman, Operation Director of AG Automobiles Limited. AG Automobiles displayed two factory fresh 2.3L EcoBoost models in the event, one with triple yellow suit and another with oxford white.
The Mustang EcoBoost Fastback offers the newly developed GTDI I-4 cylinder 2.3L motor pumping out 310 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque. The 2.3L EcoBoost is more efficient than its V6 variant. The first two units unveiled in Bangladesh comes with 6 speed automatic transmission.
The sixth generation Mustang also became the first version factory designed as a right hand drive export model to be sold overseas through Ford new car dealerships in right hand drive markets.
Because these variants came with Performance package, they feature 19 inch alloy wheel wrapped with Pirelli PZero tires for earth biting grip. The sixth generation platform is freshly developed than its predecessors, which means the new ones have better stiff structures. A new independent rear suspension (IRS) system was developed specifically for the new model. A synchronization of all these elements leads to a better ride balance and handling. This means, time to take down those crowd killer memes!
