There would be over 300 exhibition booths for the 3 day event at ICCB from 23-25 march 2017.
President and Managing Director of CEMS USA and Asia Pacific Mehrun N Islam said with the 12th Motor show, CEMS wants to bring the local auto parts manufacturers into the lime light. CEMS have been supporting these small industries with various growth prospects by helping them form legal entities by getting trade licenses and helping them come under formal Associations and above all encouraging them to participate in International Exhibitions where they can promote their expertise to the world as well as the local market. She wants everyone especially young spirited people to come with aspiring and innovative ideas for the automobile industry that will help Bangladesh move ahead in the international arena.
In Bangladesh, the majority of the market is dominated by the reconditioned cars. These reconditioned cars are used cars from Japan. In a country like Bangladesh where we have limited space, these used cars from Japan are in a way being dumped and in future, we will soon run out of space to keep these cars since their longevity is much lower than brand new vehicles being imported. This event will focus on brand new car and bike importers.
The motor show attracts many youthfull people who like to spend time in motorsports and share their automotive passion. The majority of motorbike customers are young men, and students who form various different clubs and associations in sharing the common enthusiasm. Ms Mehrun suggested that we should always keep in mind that these young aged energetic people with cars and bikes sometimes do not have the correct place to enjoy their passion of driving and motorsports. They tend to undertake risky motoring activities on the road in public which sometimes puts everyone’s lives at risk. Therefore to keep this in mind CEMS wants these youthfull people to come under a platform, enjoy motorsports and motoring entertainment in the safest manner and that is why CEMS have been organizing their Rally Cross events in the previous motor shows. However this year the Rally Cross event was supposed to take place on 25th March 2017 beside ICCB field in Kuril but CEMS have postponed the event and will announce the date later on. The motor show will attract a large group of young people who can enjoy the exhibition for 3 days with their friends and families. CEMS have received a huge response from exhibitors for the motor show and has seen a good increase in number of participants compared to last year.
