The Escape: BMW Films’s Action Packed Bad Ass Short Movie

BMW Films The Escape

If we go back to 2001, BMW kicked off one of the insane marketing campaigns ever, BMW Films.  Rather than producing boring commercials, the Bavarian company started a series of short films from famous directors with Clive Owen starring as an anonymous driver for hire.

Fifteen years later, the BMW Films are back with the latest installment called “The Escape,” and it’s bad ass! This epidemic one of a kind automotive commercial is directed by District 9 director Neill Blomkamp, integrates a beautiful sci-fi plot accommodating asphalt ripping car chases, chopper dropped down scenes.

BMW featured its new 540i M Sport in some serious action packed thrills on wheels scenes. The new 540i M Sport bolted with a turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six motor producing 335 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque, well fitted as high budget product placement. The short film, which runs roughly 13 and a half minutes, will definitely hook you up for the future episodes (Hopefully!)
